Whether your Jeep has a hard top, soft top, bikini top or no top,
JEEP GO TOPLESS DAY is the time to shed it all & celebrate the warm weather!
Come join us on Saturday, May 15 at Amelia Island State Park for a day of sun, sand, fun & of course, Jeeps!
We'll start out with an informal "mini" 12-mile, 30 minute Jeep run as we make our way from Peters Point Beach to our destination at Amelia Island State Park. We'll travel the scenic backroads, driving through historic American Beach and include a couple of fun switchbacks, always a favorite!
Once at the state park, spend a relaxing day with fellow Jeep owners. Be sure to bring your lawn chair, beach blankets, sandwich & drinks, beach umbrellas or canopies.
So pop your top & bring your family & friends!
Nassau County beaches have been overly crowded the past few weekends and we have been advised to arrive earlier than we had planned in order to ensure all our club members and friends can get on the beach.
If you wish to join the caravan, please arrive at Peters Point Beach Parking lot at 8:00 a.m. with pullout at 8:15 a.m. prompt. If you choose to meet us at the park, please arrive early before the beach is full and access is closed.
$2.00 per person State Park entry fee- please bring exact amount, upon entry you pay your fees at the park "honor system" box.
The sand at the State Park is soft- please know your Jeep's limitations! We will have someone on hand to help you out if you alone get's stuck.
Every Jeep gets a "Go Topless Day 2021" decal
& Go Topless Day 3x5 flags for the first 20 Jeeps
with a flag pole or mount.
It's also Armed Forces Day, so we will be having a 50/50 raffle to benefit our
local VFW Post #4351 and it's charities
Leashed pets allowed outside of the park perimeters on the County portion of the beach, just north of the jetties. We will do our best to park close to this area.
No alcoholic beverages please! Small gas grills allowed - no charcoal.
Please follow all "TREAD LIGHTLY" guidelines. Pick up & dispose of all litter, stay on designated paths, avoid any sensitive or restricted areas, and please stay off the dunes. Each Jeep owner is responsible for their own trash.
Eight Flags Jeep Club & Keep Nassau Beautiful will be sponsoring a beach clean-up during & after the event for anyone who wants to help out!
Ali Flisek, OPS Park Service Assistant will be on hand to answer any questions that Jeep owners may have about volunteering for the "Jeeps For Shorebirds" program that Eight Flags Jeep Club has been helping out with the past couple of years. All Jeep owners can participate- you do need to go through an application process, but Ali can help explain the program.
