Monthly Members Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month and meet at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club

Meetings usually last for an hour and help keep members up to date on what's going on, planning events, guest speakers, sharing stories and talking about wheeling with tips and advice.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Jeep Club style- hanging out at the beach & roasting hot dogs. You bring your drinks & lawn chairs, we'll bring the rest.

Jeep Club Members- Saturday, 11/12- meet at the BP Gas Station (just west of I-95 on SR 200) at 8:00 a.m. with pull-out at 8:15 PROMPT for the approx. 1 hr & 15 min. drive. As usual, please have a full tank of gas & bring your CB or GMRS radio if you have one.
No Jeep Nite Out for November & December. JNO will return in Jan. '23
Saturday, 9/17 was National Clean-up
Day. Eight Flags combined our quarterly Adopt-A-Roadway cleanup & International Coastal Clean-up Day.
The Road Crew cleaned our mile of Amelia Island Parkway.
The Beach Crew split into two teams and cleaned American Beach & Burney Park.
And breakfast for everyone at BK after the clean-up!
JEEPS FOR SHOREBIRDS
Once again, Eight Flags Jeep Club will assist Amelia Island State Park to help protect nesting shorebirds and their tiny chicks by helping to create a barrier to prevent park patrons from driving on certain areas of the beach during low tides.

EIGHT FLAGS JEEP CLUB CERT TEAM!
The Jeep CERT team can assist Nassau County law enforcement & Emergency Mgmt as civilian volunteers by contributing their time, vehicles and off-road skills. Jeeps can help cover terrain that would be inaccessible to most patrol vehicles. Members completed a 12-13 hr on-line program and a two-day classroom hands/on which included basic first aid techniques, fire safety, disaster & emergency response skills, team organization and a practical tornado disaster simulation.
Next Clean-up in December
Eight Flags Jeep Club has pledged to work with Keep Nassau Beautiful clean Amelia Island Parkway between the roundabout at 14th & Buccaneer Trail.
Members- meet at the grassy area at roughly the halfway point. We will provide safety vests , litter pickers and garbage bags. Please wear sturdy work shoes & bring work gloves.
Members- be sure to wear your safety yellow
"Clean-up Crew" t-shirt. If you have not yet received one, we'll have one available for you at the venue.
Breakfast after the clean-up for all Jeep Club volunteers.
And, don't forget to look for Terry's "hidden golf balls" worth $20 cash each!
Eight Flags Jeep Club has taken a stand and joined hundreds of other Jeep enthusiasts by becoming an official "Tread Lightly!" member to keep the outdoors healthy, open and accessible and to promote safe and responsible four-wheeling.
Travel Responsibly on land by staying on designated roads, trails and area.
Respect the Rights of Others including private property owners, all recreational trail users, campers & others so they can enjoy their recreational activities undisturbed.
Educate Yourself prior to your trip by obtaining travel maps and regulations from public agencies.
Avoid Sensitive Areas on land such as meadows, lake shores, wetlands & streams. Stay on designated routes.
Do Your Part by modeling appropriate behavior, leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste, minimizing the use of fire, avoiding the spread of invasive species and repairing degraded areas.

During the month of May we collected pet supplies for the Nassau Humane Society at our Monthly Member's Meeting on Tuesday, May 3 and Jeep Nite Out on Monday, May 9.

Didn't get many pictures this year due to the drizzly rain. A couple of our Jeeps got stuck in the mud, no biggie, and overall a good day for a good cause- to honor those that lost their lives in the line of duty and raise money for their families.
JEEP GIRLS 101
Thanks to Irene & Billy for conducting our first informal Eight Flags Jeep Club "Jeep Girls 101" class. It was fun, informative and easy to understand. And thanks to Terry for grilling up some mean hot dogs afterwards. This time we worked on sand, Jeep Girls 102 will focus on some off-roading. Our Eight Flags Jeep girls rock!

"Duck Duck Jeep" Xmas Party
Thanks to George & the staff at Dick's
Wings Fernandina for opening the restaurant just for us and providing the great buffet- we filled the place up! And congrats to the "Lucky Duck" and "Window Ping" competition winners. But most of all, thanks to everyone that brought in a toy for America's Youth. We filled two Jeeps up to the brim!

St. Mary's River Clean-up 2022
& White Oak Plantation Wildlife Preserve
Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 a.m.
Under the Shave Bridge (Wade's Place)
Eight Flags Jeep club participated in the annual clean-up of the St. Mary's River and it's tributaries. During this one-day, two state event, volunteers walked along the shorelines of the river to remove paper, bottles, cans, tires and other debris.
And back this year was the White Oak volunteer luncheon & after party along the scenic St. Mary's River.
We had a great turnout- we even had a nautical unit this year!
